In this novel 'Lord of the flies', the 25 British teenagers are left in an uninhabited island. They are educated well and try to maintain the order. They work together and make fire to be rescued. However, the island society is destroyed because of revolt of Jack's group who think hunting by themselves is better than waiting for being rescued. The island become primitive and they even kill each other for their adventage. In my opinion, the major theme of this novel is instinct of human. In the island, the teenagers lost the order and rationality. As the teenagers are divided into group(Jack and Ralph), they show the violent human nature. The reason this theme is important to a teenager in 2008 is that it can be seen in different ways. The story makes us to think about who was right in the island, Jack or Ralph as their act in the island was opposite.
