Soviet Union was built by kicking Russian imperilists out with socialism and Stalin became the ruler of Soviet Union. However, as this story shows, communism and socialism didn't go long as they have a lot of problems. Stalin's Soviet Union was collapsed because people get same awards even if they work harder than others. This fact was also reflected in the novel. Boxer, who worked hard and sincerely, was killed by a horse slaughter as he was old enough and couldn't work for the farm anymore.

What is the major theme of this novel?(Animal Farm) why is this theme important to a teenager living in 2007?
The major theme of this novel is satire on socialism of Soviet Union. Few years ago, I studied about this book in school, so i know some details and inner meanings of this novel. In this novel, a farmer of a farm was cruel to animals and that made the animals to expelled the farmer from the farm. They build thier own farm with their own rules. However, the pigs became the rulers of the farm and they began to violate the regulations they made. As the pigs, especially Napoleon, dictatorially rule the farm, the animal farm went wrong and it became similar as the farm was before they built their own farm.
this theme can be important to a teenager living in 2007. Today, even though Soviet Union has been collapsed, there are still conflicts and ideological quarrels in many countries. This also includes conflicts between South and North Korea. We should understand about these disputes.
